Why do you want to know my email address?
We need to know your email address so we can identify you when you log on, it will be the principle means of contacting you to notify you about e-cards that have been sent, and also picked up by the recipient. We will also send you notification about new cards added to the site, unless you choose not the receive the monthly newsletter.

Why do you want to know my credit card number?

We will only ask for your credit card details, via our secure online payment system, if you choose to pay your membership fee by credit or debit card, otherwise we will not ask you for this information.

What other information do you keep about me?
The only other information we require is the country you live in for our tax purposes. You will be invited to provide is your address and telephone number, but this is optional and you can choose not to provide the information if you don't want to. We will not pass on any information about you to a third party at any time. Your security is of very important to us.

What emails will you send to me?
We will only send you the following emails :
Notification of greeting e-cards you have ordered, when a card has been sent, when they are picked up by the recipient and if a card can not be delivered and also your membership renewal reminder. These emails are necessary part of sending e-cards.
Other emails we may send, but you can opt out of are notification when new cards are added to the site and administrative correspondence and also reply to any emails you send requesting help.

Use and storage of your personal information
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as your membership lasts (12 months), and remove it in the event that the membership expires or you no longer wish to continue your registration as a katiescards.com member. For safety reasons, however, katiescards.com may store messaging transcript data (including message content, member names, times and dates) arising from the use of katiescards.com. Where personal information is held for people who are not yet registered but have been the recipient of an e card, that information will be held as long as is necessary to ensure that the service is run smoothly. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission before you provide personal information to the katiescards.com website. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
